Troop 194 Cold Weather Camp Equipment Inventory

Heavy winter coat with hood Water resistant outer covering.   Ski-style is best.
Light winter coat with or without hood Water resistant outer covering.   To be worn during activities of strenuous exercise.   Ski-style is best.
Long sleeve hooded sweatshirt  
Snow pants Water resistant outer covering.   To be worn over long pants.   Ski-style is best.
Leather hiking boots All leather upper sections with high ankle support.   IMPORTANT => Boots should large-sized to allow for a loose fit around two (2) pairs of socks.   Your Scout is growing so check before each campout.
Snow boots Water-proof boots with a removable wool blend liner.   IMPORTANT => Boots should large-sized to allow for a loose fit around two (2) pairs of socks.   Your Scout is growing so check before each campout.
Light duty hiking shoes Hiking shoes that look like tennis shoes.
At least two (2) cold weather (outer garment) shirts per day Cold weather long sleeeve shirts.   Thermal and wool blends are best.
At least two (2) undershirts per day Long or short sleeve undershirts are to be worn under the long sleeve outer garments.   Cotton-poly blends are the best.
At least two (2) cold weather long pants (outer garment) per day Thermal and wool blends are best.
At least two (2) thermal long pants (underwear) Thermal and wool blends are best.   Also used for sleeping
At least three (3) pair of heavy (outer) socks per day Wool blends are best,   IMPORTANT => Cotton socks are not allowed.
At least three (3) pair of (inner) socks per day To be worn under the wool blend outer socks.   Poly blends are best,   IMPORTANT => Cotton socks are not allowed.
At least one (1) change of underwear per day  
Two pair (2) winter gloves Ski-style is best
Light-duty gloves Used for light-duty work and sleeping
Winter hat or face mask Also used for sleeping
Cold weather sleeping bag Temperature range to 0 degree Fahrenheit.   Sized to the height of the individual.   Mummy-style are best.
Sleeping bag inner or outer liner Increases the thermal range of sleeping bag.
Sleeping pad Foam padding for use when camping in tents.
Poncho or raincoat  
Hand towel and washcloth  
Soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, and comb Other personal toiletries

One (1) Complete Class B Scout Uniform Class B: Troop 194 Scout T-Shirt, Troop 194 Hat, long khaki pants.   Class B uniform is only required if advanced notice is given by the Scoutmaster or Senior Patrol Leader.
