Bear Wallow, Indiana Hiking Trip

Our June campout was spent at Bear Wallow, Indiana on a hiking campout.  This trip was designed to get the younger scouts familiar with hiking, and provide a training opportunity for the older scouts who are headed to the Philmont Scout Ranch next year.

Perfect North Slopes

The Snow Emergency kept many of the families that signed up for the Ski outing from participating, but those that did had a good time on the slopes

Daniel R's Eagle Court of Honor

Most Boy Scouts aspire to becoming an Eagle Scout, but only the most dedicated scouts attain that goal.  Troop 194 is proud to have one of those scout in it ranks.  Congratulations Daniel.

Klondike Derby at Pine Hills Park

The 2003 Klondike Derby was held at Pine Hills Park in Mason, Ohio.  While there was no snow for the Derby, it was plenty cold.  The temperature never got above freezing, and at night it went down to around 7 degrees.  Several Troop 194 scouts and leaders earned their Polar Bear patches during this campout.  The scouts learned a lot about teamwork during this camping trip.
