Big Al's Turkey Campout - November 21-23, 2014 - Ft. Ancient State Park, Oregonia, OH
Taking Friday Night Hike leaving from shelter at 8pm, returning to shelter by 9 for cracker barrel.
We will be doing a Service Project, after Saturday breakfast, Troop 750 will be coordinating.
All Troops/Crews will be making 3 Desserts, presenting one for judging. Winner to receive Dutch Oven.
RETURNING – “BUTCHER” contest. (based on food network “CHOPPED”)
Each Troop will nominate one Boy Scout to compete in a cooking contest. That Boy must make a Breakfast item, Lunch item, Dinner Dessert. All using secret ingredients. All cooked in Dutch Ovens. After each meal some Boys will be eliminated. Leaving two Boys to make Dinner dessert. Winner will get Troops Name on Plaque. Plus receive “Head Butcher” Chefs Jacket
Again this year, there will be the opportunity to purchase stylish, Big Al's Turkey Campout Spirit Wear. This is the ultimate in Mason Scouting Bling. All proceeds go to support Ft. Ancient. See the order form attached and return it with the permission form!
COOKING MERIT BADGE: Al is now going to support Cooking Merit Badge at the Turkey Campout. He is only taking TWO scouts from each unit:
- Priority will be given to scouts that are currently pursuing Eagle Scout (currently Life).
- The Older Scouts will be given priority.
- Scouts that apply will need to attend the Turkey Campout and work with Al in the kitchen.
- Scouts that apply must be willing to complete the pre-work prior to the Turkey Campout

PLAN ON THESE GENTLEMAN TO BE IN THE KITCHEN ALL DAY
THEY WILL PLAN AND COOK BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR WEBELOS AND POSSIBLY TROOPS AND THEY WILL HELP WITH TURKEY DINNER.
